Engineering Manager - Custody

Role Overview: The position requires full-time on-site presence at BitGo's Toronto office to facilitate collaborative teamwork and innovative problem-solving initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of high-impact engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ownership
• Ensure timely delivery and quality of the team's work
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise and prioritize the team's roadmap
• Work closely with UI/UX designers to craft seamless user interfaces
• Develop platforms to facilitate secure crypto application development
• Accountable for key performance indicators related to development processes, product quality, and customer value
• Serve as a positive liaison between engineering and other departments
• Align team goals with company objectives and client expectations

Required:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in a managerial capacity
• Proficiency in automation, building tools for enhanced workflows, and system debugging
• Demonstrated excellence in sourcing and hiring engineering talent
• Experience in cross-team collaboration and remote work settings
• Proactive, adaptable, and decisive professional
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology

Preferred:

• Proficiency in NodeJS, TypeScript, MongoDB, React, Kafka
• Experience in microservices, service-oriented architectures, and large-scale distributed applications
• Familiarity with Containers and Kubernetes
• Background in the financial industry
• Knowledge of digital wallets and ledgering systems
