Engineering Manager - Custody

Role Overview: The position requires full-time on-site presence at BitGo's Toronto office to facilitate collaborative teamwork and innovative problem-solving initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of high-impact engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ownership
- Ensure timely delivery and quality of the team's work
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise and prioritize the team's roadmap
- Work closely with UI/UX designers to craft seamless user interfaces
- Develop platforms to facilitate secure crypto application development
- Accountable for key performance indicators related to development processes, product quality, and customer value
- Serve as a positive liaison between engineering and other departments
- Align team goals with company objectives and client expectations
Skills & Experience: Seeking individuals who embody BitGo's core values and mission to deliver trust in digital assets.
Required:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in a managerial capacity
- Proficiency in automation, building tools for enhanced workflows, and system debugging
- Demonstrated excellence in sourcing and hiring engineering talent
- Experience in cross-team collaboration and remote work settings
- Proactive, adaptable, and decisive professional
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology
Preferred:
- Proficiency in NodeJS, TypeScript, MongoDB, React, Kafka
- Experience in microservices, service-oriented architectures, and large-scale distributed applications
- Familiarity with Containers and Kubernetes
- Background in the financial industry
- Knowledge of digital wallets and ledgering systems
