Engineering Manager (Hands-On) - Go Network

BitGo is on the lookout for an experienced Engineering Manager to play a pivotal role in the Go Network organization by contributing to the development of resilient and robust services while leading critical projects independently.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and nurture a high-impact team of talented engineers while fostering a culture of open communication, craftsmanship, and ownership.
• Oversee the team's deliverables' quality and timeliness.
• Manage the technology and services supporting BitGo Prime, focusing on trading, lending, settlement, and beyond.
• Act as a liaison between engineering teams and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
• Drive accountability for key performance indicators related to operational efficiency, client experience, and service continuity.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate with management and product teams to plan, prioritize, and estimate roadmap initiatives aligned with the company's goals and client expectations.

Skills & Experience:

Required:

• Previous experience in a tech lead or managerial position within an engineering department.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience, with 2-4 years in a managerial role leading engineering teams.
• Strong inclination towards automation and streamlining workflow processes.
• Proficient debugging skills and a knack for understanding complex interconnected systems.
• Demonstrated track record in recruiting top engineering talent.
• Experience collaborating across teams and functions to achieve organizational objectives.
• Proactive, decisive, and adaptable self-starter.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Interest and understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

Preferred:

• Proficiency in NodeJS, TypeScript, Go, Postgres, React, and Kafka.
• Familiarity with microservices, service-oriented architectures, and large-scale distributed applications.
• Experience with Containers, Kubernetes, and financial industry practices.
• Knowledge in digital wallets, clearing and settlement, lending, trading, and accounting systems.

Pay Transparency Notice:

This role typically offers an average compensation range between $180,000 - $240,000 USD base salary, alongside equity, an annual performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.
