BitGo seeks an Engineering Manager for its Prime organization to contribute to building resilient, strong services while managing critical projects with minimal supervision. This role allows remote work for individuals based in North America.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and nurture a team of high-impact engineers while fostering a culture of open communication and ownership
- Oversee quality and delivery of team projects
- Manage all technology and services supporting BitGo Prime, such as trading, lending, and settlement
- Foster collaboration between engineering teams and other stakeholders
- Monitor and improve internal operations, client experience efficiency, and service uptime
- Focus on documentation and knowledge sharing efforts
- Coordinating with management to plan and prioritize roadmap objectives
- Align team goals with company and client expectations
Skills & Experience Requirements:
- Prior experience in managing engineering departments
- 8+ years in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a managerial position, demonstrating strong leadership and automation skills
- Proficient debugging skills and comprehension of complex system structures
- Track record in sourcing top engineering talent and cross-functional collaboration
- Quick adaptability, decisiveness, and effective communication skills
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Passion for cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with NodeJS, TypeScript, Go, Postgres, React, and Kafka
- Expertise in microservices, service-oriented architectures, and financial industry experience
- Knowledge of large-scale, real-time, distributed applications and Containers/Kubernetes
- Understanding of financial concepts like digital wallets, clearing, lending, trading, accounting systems
