Consensus, an event held since 2015, is a renowned festival that showcases and celebrates all aspects of the blockchain, crypto, and Web 3 ecosystems, and their profound impact on commerce, culture, and communities. Each year, Consensus brings together tens of thousands of attendees to hear from in-demand thought leaders and participate in a variety of discussions, meetings, parties, music performances, dinners, and other engaging experiences. In 2025, new editions of Consensus are planned for Hong Kong and Toronto.
CoinDesk is currently looking for an Events Programming & Speaker Success Coordinator to join their expanding team. The selected individual will assist the events programming team for Consensus events in Hong Kong and Toronto by managing the speaker database, overseeing speaker onboarding and relationships, ensuring the marketing and events teams have necessary programming materials, updating website content related to speakers and agendas, and supporting compliance with programming deadlines.
This position will require onsite work in their NYC office close to Union Square with the exact days per week determined by the hiring manager based on business needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage the Consensus and Events programming database
- Handle speaker onboarding and communications
- Coordinate pre-event logistics and preparation calls for speakers
- Update speaker and agenda postings on the website
- Contribute to content development through research and relationship cultivation
- Ensure the marketing and events teams possess all required programming resources
- Serve as the main point of contact for Speakers, overseeing their session and aligning with their business objectives related to the event(s), in collaboration with internal teams.
What You Have:
- Strong collaboration skills, excellent organization, effective communication, and tech proficiency
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in content creation or event programming
- Proficient writing skills and keen attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and devise creative solutions under deadlines and within live-event settings
- Previous work experience or a solid interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain is beneficial
- Comfortable with various technology and data management systems like event platforms, Airtable, Google Suite, Excel, etc.
- Capable of managing the demands of a startup culture with limited resources
CoinDesk Inc and CoinDesk Indices Inc. offer competitive compensation and benefits, with an expected base salary for this role ranging from $90,000 to $100,000 along with an annual discretionary target bonus and benefits package, which may vary based on geographic location and job-related factors.
