Finance Trust Officer
Crypto.com]] is in search of a Finance Trust Officer with exceptional skills to oversee the financial operations of the US Crypto Trust business. This position is pivotal in managing the financial integrity, operational efficiency, and fiduciary responsibilities of the Trust structure supporting the digital asset and cryptocurrency custody services.
The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in trust and fiduciary accounting, along with a strong background in financial operations within the digital asset or traditional finance sector. This role involves bridging finance, compliance, and operations to ensure compliance with regulatory, accounting, and reporting obligations while upholding operational excellence in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day trust financial activities, including settlement, reconciliation, safekeeping, and asset transfers.
- Ensure fulfillment of fiduciary and custodial obligations for client accounts and assets in custody.
- Collaborate with crypto operations, treasury, and compliance teams to facilitate smooth transaction processing, liquidity management, and asset segregation.
- Optimize workflows for crypto transaction accounting, trust disbursements, and custodial asset reporting.
- Monitor and reconcile Trust client invoice distribution and account receivables.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives for innovation and expansion of crypto trust services.
- Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard trust assets and ensure accurate valuation and reporting of digital assets.
- Work with external auditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders during financial and operational reviews.
- Collaborate with Treasury, Accounting, Legal, Risk, and Technology teams to enhance controls, automation, and scalability.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state trust company regulations and banking department requirements.
- Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to align financial processes with AML, KYC, and fiduciary oversight standards.
- Assist in preparing regulatory filings, audits, and reports for the Trust entity.
Requirements:
- Experience in digital assets, crypto custody, or blockchain-based financial systems operations.
- 6+ years of financial management, trust administration, or accounting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Proficiency in trust accounting, fiduciary operations, or custody management.
- Strong grasp of financial controls, reconciliation processes, and reporting standards.
- Leadership skills with effective communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Preferably familiar with digital asset accounting software, blockchain reconciliation tools, or crypto custody platforms.
- Knowledge of U.S. trust regulatory frameworks, state-chartered trust company requirements, and crypto asset compliance.
- Preferred experience in enhancing financial systems and internal controls.
- Consideration such as CPA, CFA, CTP, or CTFA designation is beneficial.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strategic thinker operating at executive and operational levels.
- Ability to manage complex workflows in finance, technology, and regulatory functions.
- High integrity, professional judgment, and commitment to fiduciary responsibility.
Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 per year
