About You
We seek a meticulous and well-organized Entry-Level Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. In this role, you will play a vital role in maintaining financial records, conducting high-volume data scrubbing, and performing detailed reconciliations. This position offers recent graduates an excellent opportunity to gain foundational skills in corporate finance and accounting while aiding in complex month-end processes and strategic financial analysis.
Responsibilities
- Data Maintenance & Record Keeping: Manage and organize large sets of financial records meticulously to ensure data integrity across ledgers and reporting systems.
- Reconciliations & Variance Investigation: Assist with and conduct detailed daily and monthly reconciliations, like bank, revenue, and COGS reconciliations, by rigorously investigating variances and discrepancies.
- General Accounting Support: Offer comprehensive support for general accounting tasks, including preparing journal entries and organizing month-end close documentation.
- Analysis & Modeling: Support financial modeling, statistical analysis, and assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Reporting: Deliver data-based recommendations to the finance team based on variance analysis and special project discoveries.
- Process Improvement: Assist senior analysts in optimizing financial reporting workflows, and familiarity with automation tools like Python or Google Apps Script is a plus.
Requirements
- Recent graduate or in the process of completing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.6.
- Completed mid-level finance and accounting courses.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with a strong focus on data manipulation.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and analytical capabilities, willing to investigate data deeply to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Strong organizational skills, time management abilities, and adherence to strict reporting deadlines.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Team player with strong interpersonal skills, self-motivated to learn and take on tasks positively, and tackle challenges.
Compensation
The anticipated annual salary in the US for this role ranges from $60,000 to $80,000. Candidate qualifications and experience will determine the final compensation.
