As an essential part of our modern retail brokerage, this role focuses on crucial technical aspects:
- Build the financial foundation: Develop services for order lifecycles, internal ledgers, multi-currency funding flows, and automated reconciliation.
- Scale with precision: Create high-throughput, fault-tolerant infrastructure capable of handling significant user growth while prioritizing auditability and data integrity.
- Set engineering standards: Collaborate with the CTO to establish company-wide standards for correctness, distributed system reliability, and operational excellence.
This position offers significant technical ownership and autonomy in architecture, product decisions, and system design.
What You Will Own
- Core Financial Engine: Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining order routing, execution lifecycles, ledgers, and funding/reconciliation systems.
- Resilient Architecture: Build systems optimized for high concurrency, resilient to network failures, with idempotent handlers, durable event history, and self-healing mechanisms.
- Third-Party & Banking Integrations: Integrate with partner entities such as broker-dealers, banking rails, FX mechanisms, and KYC/AML verification providers.
- Production Excellence: Take responsibility for operational aspects including testing environments, monitoring, incident response, on-call duties, and postmortems.
- Internal Operational Tooling: Develop robust internal tools for auditing, investigating, and resolving operational issues effectively.
- Data & AI Infrastructure Support: Assist in maintaining data pipelines supporting real-time AI research and translation engines.
