About the Role
We are currently seeking a Full-Stack Engineer who will play a crucial role in our company. As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for both technical and cultural execution. You will be working on high-impact, user-facing products, with your work being the face of our company to users.
At Toku, we have ambitious roadmaps to build state-of-the-art token compensation infrastructure that connects the crypto industry to the real world. You will work towards technical goals, collaborate closely with our founders, and contribute to daily code shipping.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the sales and product teams to make decisions and develop strategies, demonstrating a collaborative mindset and a problem-solving orientation
- Uphold best practices in code quality, strong typing, and API design
- Establish and document best practices to ensure scalability and efficiency within the engineering team
- Identify opportunities for improvement in existing practices and maintain Toku's high technical quality standards
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in software engineering at a venture-backed startup
- Ability to write high-quality, maintainable code in a fast-paced, agile software engineering environment
- Strong drive to complete projects successfully, working with various technologies and systems
- Self-starter attitude with independent execution of new ideas
- Ability to work with different services and processes, even if not previously experienced with them
- Familiarity with high-quality code and software engineering processes, with the ability to foster an environment that promotes them
- Interest or experience in working in a fast-paced, remote-first startup
- Willingness to be hands-on and take initiative
- Experience building front-end and back-end systems, from the initial lines of code to the product launch and scaling
- Exceptional teamwork, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a strong work ethic, with experience founding a company or working on side projects (a plus!)
