FX/Credit Lead

Responsibilities:

FX Operations & Execution:

• Supervise the entire FX conversion operations, encompassing quote management, trade execution, and settlement across multiple banking API partners.
• Monitor the real-time performance of the FX pricing engine to meet defined SLAs ensuring uptime and accuracy.
• Oversee intelligent vendor selection processes including cost scoring, settlement speed, provider health scores, and compliance checks.
• Manage escalations for transaction failures, rate matters, and provider API errors, and drive resolution efforts.

Settlement & Reconciliation:

• Responsible for daily reconciliation of currency flows with a focus on accuracy and timely settlements.
• Coordinate settlement flows across ISO 20022-compliant systems and address any discrepancies.
• Collaborate with Finance and Clearing teams to ensure clean books and audit-ready records are maintained.
• Produce operations and reconciliation reports for senior management on a regular basis.

Liquidity & Vendor Management:

• Cultivate and strengthen relationships with banking partners.
• Monitor liquidity levels for significant transactions, ensuring competitive pricing and efficient execution.
• Assess and onboard new liquidity providers while contributing to the API integration roadmap.
• Negotiate FX spread tiers and volume incentives with providers.

Risk & Compliance:

• Work closely with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure FX operations comply with relevant regulations.
• Monitor and enforce provider failover thresholds to maintain operational integrity.
• Support the compliance function with transaction monitoring, AML flags, and regulatory reporting.
• Uphold operational controls around risk mitigation and compliance requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with Product and Tech teams on feature rollouts relating to conversions, alerts, wallet transfers, and remittance corridors.
• Provide operational inputs and UAT support for new currency pair launches.
• Liaise with Customer Service on FX-related matters and maintain SOP documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in finance or International Business.
• 5+ years of experience in the payment industry or FX operations.
• Interest in Cryptocurrencies, Blockchain, and trading or finance/banking/payments.
• Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and patience.
• Proficiency in understanding basic operational metrics.
• Ability to troubleshoot effectively and work well under pressure.
• Collaborative team player with the enthusiasm to motivate colleagues.
• Fluent in English.
