Global Head/Director of Liquidity and Account Management

We are a prominent global digital asset platform in search of a skilled professional to assume the role of the Global Head / Director of Account & Liquidity Management. In this senior leadership position, you will be responsible for overseeing and expanding the company's liquidity ecosystem by managing relationships with institutional liquidity providers, market makers, and strategic partners across key regions (APAC, EMEA, Americas).
Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement a global acquisition and retention strategy for liquidity in alignment with company growth objectives and product roadmap.
- Set and achieve revenue, volume, and spread targets connected to liquidity provider engagement on a quarterly and yearly basis.
- Establish and lead a proficient account management team across various regions, defining KPIs, workflows, and fostering a culture of accountability.
Liquidity Provider & Market Maker Management:
- Manage the complete life cycle of liquidity provider relationships, from initial engagement and onboarding to ongoing optimization and expansion.
- Negotiate commercial terms, fee structures, and service level agreements with market makers, OTC desks, and algorithmic trading firms.
- Monitor and evaluate liquidity quality metrics such as spread, depth, and fill rates, collaborating with providers to elevate execution performance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with Trading, Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure smooth integration, API connectivity, and regulatory compliance.
- Act as the liaison for liquidity providers internally, advocating for platform enhancements, new trading pairs, and infrastructural upgrades to attract and retain premier flow.
- Work in conjunction with Institutional Sales and OTC teams to deliver a unified client experience for esteemed counterparties.
Market Intelligence & Industry Engagement:
- Stay abreast of global market microstructure, regulatory changes, and competition dynamics in centralized and decentralized trading platforms.
- Represent the company at industry events, institutional forums, and partner gatherings to fortify brand presence and extend the partner network.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in institutional sales, liquidity management, prime brokerage, or market-making, with a minimum 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- A proven track record in onboarding and managing relationships with institutional liquidity providers, market makers, or prime brokerage clients.
- Comprehensive knowledge of order book dynamics, market microstructure, FIX/API connectivity, and exchange infrastructure.
- Robust network across institutional trading firms, market makers, OTC desks, and traditional finance counterparts.
- Proficient in negotiating complex commercial agreements and managing relationships at the executive level.
- Exceptional analytical skills dealing with trading data, liquidity metrics, and P&L attribution.
- Experience operating across multiple jurisdictions with a keen understanding of regional regulatory landscapes.
