The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing trading teams and delivering consistent performance. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to hire and develop top trading talent, and the discipline to enforce risk management protocols.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage trading teams, ensuring high performance and adherence to company objectives.Hire, train, and mentor new traders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.Conduct interviews and assess trader potential by assigning demo accounts and evaluating performance.Monitor trading activities, track performance metrics, and ensure strict adherence to risk management protocols.Implement trading strategies and oversee the day-to-day operations of trading desks.Develop performance benchmarks and KPIs for traders to meet and exceed.Provide regular reports and performance reviews to senior leadership.Enforce discipline within the team, including termination decisions when necessary based on performance and compliance.Stay informed of market trends, economic developments, and new trading technologies.Qualifications:Proven experience in leading and managing trading teams, ideally in a hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, or investment bank.Strong knowledge of financial markets and trading instruments across multiple asset classes.Demonstrated ability to hire, train, and manage high-performing traders.Exceptional leadership and decision-making skills with a results-driven mindset.Excellent understanding of risk management principles and the ability to enforce protocols effectively.Strong analytical skills and experience with trading software and performance tracking tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred Qualifications:CFA, CMT, or other relevant financial certifications.Experience with algorithmic trading or quantitative strategies.Proven ability to develop and implement trading strategies.
