Description
We are in need of an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as an Identity Engineer. As a member of our Identity Security Team, you will be involved in the designing, implementing, and maintaining of Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions within a cloud-native setting. A critical aspect of your role will be to ensure the efficiency and security of our user access management processes. This presents an excellent opportunity for those who enjoy security and automation and are quick learners, to advance within a challenging and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the implementation and management of IAM solutions, such as Okta and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Participate in the full IAM lifecycle which includes user provisioning, de-provisioning, role management, and access reviews.
- Contribute to the automation of IAM processes using scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IAM-related issues while providing prompt and effective support to users.
- Collaborate across various teams to integrate IAM solutions with different applications and systems.
- Document IAM processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest IAM technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Participate in security audits and compliance assessments linked to IAM.
- Assist in shaping and implementing security protocols and practices.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Relevant experience of 2-3 years in IAM or similar IT security roles.
- Thorough understanding of IAM principles and the IAM lifecycle.
- Experience working within a cloud-native environment like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Practical experience with Okta and Microsoft Entra ID highly regarded.
- Proficient in automation scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Knowledge of security and cloud concepts.
- Strong logical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Strong enthusiasm to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Preferred Requirements
- Certifications in security or cloud disciplines (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP), AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate).
- Prior experience with API integration with IAM solutions.
- Familiarity with IGA (Identity Governance & Administration) solutions is advantageous.
