Join Binance's Investigations team, where we are seeking driven individuals to undertake crypto investigations, enhance collaborations with law enforcement agencies like the FBI and Europol, and streamline procedures that may culminate in the prosecution of illicit entities.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of customer account data, both on-chain and off-chain transactions, account attributes, and other pertinent details to ascertain the nature of activities and identify relevant entities.
- Perform thorough open-source research to uncover crucial data that can progress investigations or due diligence projects.
- Recognize patterns in anomalous or malicious behavior to map out networks associated with malicious actors.
- Document all research activities, detailing the steps taken, sources reviewed, and resulting conclusions.
- Collaborate with other teams to offer assistance, share information, and collect pertinent data.
- Provide insights to relevant departments following analyses to reinforce the company's security framework.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in law enforcement.
- At least 3 years of expertise in cybercrime or financial investigations.
- Demonstrated success in identifying cases or providing technical support for cryptocurrency-related cases.
- Profound understanding of cryptocurrencies and distinctions between various blockchain networks.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with DeFi.
- Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to convey findings clearly and succinctly.
- Proficiency in analyzing extensive datasets and adept problem-solving abilities, including thinking innovatively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong connections within national or regional law enforcement bodies.
- Proficiency in a language apart from English.
- Familiarity with blockchain analytics using tools or manual fund tracking with relevant block explorers.
- Knowledge of open-source investigations (OSINT) or due diligence practices.
- Background in researching and analyzing cybercrime, particularly financial in nature, with familiarity of cybercrime organizations and tactics.
- Basic comprehension of DNS and IP address analysis.
