Junior Accounts Payable Accountant (12 months contract)

Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable & Reimbursements
- Review and process employee reimbursement claims as per company policies and approval protocols.
- Validate vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and appropriate coding within NetSuite.
- Facilitate invoice payment processing and employee reimbursements under specified authorization thresholds.
- Assist in addressing any invoice or payment discrepancies involving internal stakeholders and vendors.
Bank Reconciliations & Month-End Support
- Conduct daily and monthly bank reconciliations, while promptly resolving reconciling items.
- Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable and cash balances.
- Maintain thorough documentation and auditing trails for all accounts payable and bank transactions.
Controls, Compliance & Systems
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, segregation of duties, and approval matrices for all transactions.
- Assist in audits by providing necessary schedules and supporting documentation.
- Aid in the enhancement and maintenance of accounts payable and expense workflows within NetSuite and related tools.
- Follow regulatory, compliance, and operational standards relevant to fintech and cryptocurrency firms.
Requirements:
- Possess a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable, finance operations, or shared services.
- Basic understanding of NetSuite or other ERP systems is advantageous.
- Exposure to expense management tools and invoice processing is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to adhere to processes and controls within a regulated environment.
- Effective communication skills and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
