Description
Responsibilities:
- Managing personal workload and promptly escalating key risks/issues to management.
- Reviewing and verifying all client onboarding applications within set SLAs.
- Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with Relationship Partner Teams and clients to collect necessary due diligence evidence.
- Demonstrating expertise in compliance tools like World-Check & Jumio.
- Overseeing the customer due diligence process to ensure thoroughness and accuracy.
- Conducting risk assessments, periodic reviews, and enhanced due diligence proficiently.
- Monitoring and documenting unusual activities or AML flags.
- Engaging in internal and external training programs on AML/CFT and related subjects.
- Handling general administration tasks related to onboarding and compliance.
- Scrutinizing corporate clients' constitutional documents and relevant parties.
- Performing open-source searches on regulatory status and licensing.
- Screening for PEPs, adverse media, and other ML risks using WorldCheck.
- Translating corporate documents into English.
- Compiling detailed reports on client risks for senior management and MLRO.
- Providing feedback on system functionalities and suggesting necessary upgrades.
- Identifying procedural gaps and implementing corrective actions in the onboarding process.
- Detecting suspicious or falsified documentation and ensuring accurate data entry.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate onboarding with strong knowledge of compliance regulations and procedures.
- Fluency in English and German, additional European language skills are advantageous.
- Familiarity with various client types and EEA jurisdictions.
- Experience in reviewing AML Policies and Procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of Virtual Asset Service Providers and financial institution profiles.
- Preference for ACAMS/CAMS/CCAS/ICA certifications.
- Strong time management, organizational, and relationship-building abilities.
- Adaptable to fast-paced and evolving environments.
- Understanding of local laws, directives, regulations, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of upcoming virtual currency regulations is a plus.
