Description

Our company is looking for a capable Lead Engineer to join our Engineering Team based in London. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the development and enhancement of our trading platform while collaborating closely with the Product Team.

As the Lead Engineer, you should possess a strong interest in technology, system enhancements, and coding practices. Effective leadership skills are essential for guiding the team through technical aspects of projects and mentoring other talented engineers. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the development and improvement of our trading platform by introducing new features and functionalities
  • Collaborating with the Elwood Engineering team to ensure uniformity across instances and the broader client build roadmap
  • Building execution and algorithmic trading strategies
  • Designing new services to address critical product and business requirements using Golang
  • Implementing features that facilitate customer collaboration in asset management
  • Collaborating with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership to translate our product and technical vision into a feasible roadmap every quarter
  • Monitoring and supporting all aspects of production system components, such as trading algorithms, exchange connectivity, analytics, and market data

Qualifications / Knowledge

To be a suitable candidate for this position, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration
  • Advanced knowledge of computer science, including object-oriented programming, data structures, and processing
  • Proficiency in programming with experience in Golang
  • Strong understanding of site reliability and observability concerns
  • Experience in deploying and monitoring applications in a cloud environment, preferably GCP
  • Proficient in developing large-scale concurrent, event-driven distributed systems
  • Practical experience in algorithm design
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with building complex systems using various components of tech infrastructures
  • Working knowledge of the FIX protocol
  • Understanding of crypto markets and products is advantageous
