About the role:
We are seeking a Managing Editor deeply immersed in the world of cryptocurrency, with a keen awareness of the latest trends, insights, and market dynamics dictating crypto culture. The ideal candidate will create compelling written content that connects with both novice and experienced crypto investors. As an accomplished writer and editor, you will oversee the creation of engaging articles, social media posts, newsletters, and product introductions to drive community engagement and enhance SEO performance in a rapidly evolving environment.
This role offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated writer and editor with a passion for crypto to channel their enthusiasm into a fulfilling career. Initially a 15-month maternity cover, this position has the potential to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Develop educational content: Create informative long-form articles aimed at educating our vast user base about leveraging cryptocurrency for financial empowerment.
- Social media content creation: Generate compelling content across various platforms like X, TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn, collaborating with design colleagues on captivating visual content.
- Stay abreast of industry trends: Monitor crypto market movements, emerging themes, and cultural phenomena to craft relevant content for a global newsletter audience.
- Editorial management and assistance: Provide editorial support for educational, product, research, and customer service materials from different departments.
- Generate creative content ideas: Brainstorm and propose new content concepts aligning with brand SEO goals and the evolving cryptocurrency landscape.
- Agility in content creation: Adapt to different time zones, respond swiftly to news, trends, and cultural shifts, and produce high-quality content in real-time.
Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of blockchain, Web3, DeFi, NFTs, and the broader crypto ecosystem.
- Proven expertise in crafting engaging written content across multiple formats like articles, newsletters, social media posts, and more.
- Proficiency in Google Suite, WordPress, and Generative AI Tools.
- Ability to create compelling content tailored for crypto-centric platforms such as X, Discord, Telegram, as well as mainstream channels like TikTok, Instagram, YouTube.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle quick turnaround times and manage multiple projects effectively.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of thriving in a dynamic remote work environment, with a preference for candidates based in Asia.
