Job Responsibilities

  • Translate functional and non-functional requirements into sophisticated conceptual designs while adhering to regional design codes.
  • Create and analyze mechanical components and systems using advanced CAD and FEA software tools.
  • Conduct thorough structural, thermal, and dynamic analyses to enhance product performance and reliability.
  • Employ simulation tools to generate precise static and dynamic models encompassing various characteristics such as mechanical, acoustic, thermal, electromagnetic radiation, and noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) properties.
  • Collaborate with design engineers to seamlessly integrate CAD design and FEA analysis, offering valuable insights for design enhancements.
  • Develop clear manufacturing and assembly drawings meeting specified standards to support efficient large-scale production.
  • Produce technical reports and presentations to communicate analysis outcomes, insights, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
  • Design robust inspection and testing plans, actively participating in laboratory and field-based testing to ensure alignment with simulation results and hardware performance.
  • Cultivate a collaborative environment by mentoring team members on CAD design, FEA modeling, analysis techniques, and result interpretation.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven Mechanical Engineering experience in a relevant commercial field.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks modeling, Ansys simulation packages, and Windchill PL.
  • Expertise in 2D and 3D drawing for complex, regulated systems.
  • Sound comprehension and application of design engineering principles and requirements analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of static and dynamic simulation modeling, structural mechanics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamics.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, articulating complex ideas clearly.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a systematic approach.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a highly regulated environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet challenging deadlines.

  • First-stage interview with the Hiring Manager and team (virtual or in-person).
  • Final-stage interview with the Hiring Manager and Engineering Leadership (virtual or in-person).
