As a member of the Global Risk Management team focusing on Financial Risk, your role will involve safeguarding our organization and clients from varied risks in the dynamic financial landscape, including market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks. Operating from Singapore, you will play a crucial part in our Financial Risk team, responsible for real-time risk monitoring and reporting. Your duties will include making prompt decisions during market disruptions and black swan events, ensuring the protection of assets and reputation. This role requires independence, alertness, and the ability to discern when to take action or escalate issues.

Key Responsibilities and Required Skills:
Technical Skills:
- Lead the enhancement of risk monitoring frameworks, dashboards, and reporting structures for financial risk.
- Develop and maintain quantitative models to assess market, counterparty, and liquidity risks for digital asset portfolios.
- Utilize expertise in crypto market microstructure to identify potential risks before they manifest.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Oversee real-time risk monitoring across trading and financing with minimal supervision.
- Manage crisis response strategies during systemic risk events, taking rapid risk mitigating actions within defined risk tolerance levels.
- Convert intricate risk scenarios into actionable insights for trading, sales, and senior leadership.
- Ability to provide informed judgments based on limited, incomplete data.
Organizational Knowledge:
- Collaborate closely with Trading, Sales, Compliance, and Operations to embed risk considerations into business decisions.
- Deliver daily risk updates to the Financial Risk team and stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Contribute to evolving the risk management culture at Anchorage by sharing knowledge across teams.
Communication and Influence:
- Closely listen to trading and sales requests, using judgment to balance business requirements with risk appetite.
- Offer clear, actionable risk assessments during high-pressure situations, making sure stakeholders comprehend implications and recommended courses of action.
- Escalate issues appropriately when needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in financial risk management, market risk, or related quantitative risk roles, with exposure to digital assets or crypto markets preferred.
- Proficiency in risk monitoring, reporting, and dashboard building, including crafting executive-level risk reports.
- Experience navigating market disruptions or crisis events, showcasing the ability to take decisive risk mitigation steps under pressure.
- Solid understanding of crypto market dynamics, exchange risk, counterparty risk, liquidity risk, and unique characteristics of digital asset markets.
- Independent work approach with the capability to work autonomously across time zones while maintaining communication.
- Familiarity with risk modeling tools and data analysis techniques such as Python, SQL, or similar.

- Direct experience at a crypto exchange or crypto-native financial institution.
- Steered through a significant crypto crisis event (e.g., exchange failure, stablecoin depeg, market contagion) and can share insights from lessons learned.
