Responsibilities:
As a Quantitative Financial Risk Manager at Anchorage Digital, you will play a pivotal role in developing quantitative analysis tools that enhance the risk management capabilities of the company across credit, market, and liquidity risk domains. Your responsibilities will include building scalable analytics infrastructure, conducting real-time analyses to meet business needs promptly, and conducting stress tests on portfolios under various scenarios.
You will work at the intersection of financial theory, data science, and engineering, shaping how Anchorage Digital manages risk. This role offers the opportunity to drive a culture of risk management, continuous improvement, and strategic innovation within the organization.
Requirements:
Technical Skills:
- Create and maintain quantitative analysis tools for risk assessment across credit, market, and liquidity risk
- Develop scalable analytics pipelines using Python for automated reporting, data transformation, and real-time risk monitoring
- Conduct portfolio margin stress tests and scenario analysis efficiently under tight timelines
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Lead the end-to-end development of quantitative analysis tools independently
- Perform ad-hoc real-time analysis when necessary, delivering results under pressure
- Address ambiguous risk issues by employing suitable quantitative methods and communicating trade-offs effectively
Organizational Knowledge:
- Collaborate closely with various teams to embed risk analysis in decision-making processes
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory updates, and emerging best practices in quantitative risk management
- Share insights across teams to promote comprehensive understanding and adoption of risk frameworks
Communication and Influence:
- Translate complex quantitative concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Mentor junior team members on quantitative methods, analytics tooling, and professional growth
- Foster relationships across teams to encourage the adoption of risk management frameworks and influence risk-related thinking within the organization
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in quantitative finance, financial risk management, or relevant fields
- Advanced degree (Master's or PhD) in a quantitative discipline
- Demonstrated track record of developing quantitative tools for risk management
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to explore new angles and dig deep into data
- Proficiency in risk monitoring and reporting, including real-time risk dashboards
- Experience in portfolio stress testing and scenario analysis in a professional setting
Bonus Skillset:
- Experience with digital assets, crypto, or blockchain-related financial products
- Understanding of operational risk and its intersection with credit, market, and liquidity risk
