We operate as a team that welcomes remote work, with team members spread worldwide. However, we offer the choice to work on-site at our offices located in New York City, Sioux Falls, Porto, Lisbon, and Singapore. For team members situated away from our physical offices, we endorse and finance quarterly in-person collaboration sessions to promote teamwork and fortify our community.

A successful contributor to our team will serve as a bridge between business and technical data usage, constructing a user-friendly platform for Data and Data Tooling to cater to Engineering, Reporting, Analytics, and Data Science requirements. This team is tasked with crafting a large-scale data system to house and interrogate both conventional financial data and cryptocurrency and market data.

Technical Proficiency:

• Spearhead data architectural patterns and platform design.
• Establish and oversee ELT models for the generation of data warehouses and usable datasets.
• Establish and manage Data Platform cloud infrastructure.

Workflow Complexity and Influence:

• Champion the enforcement of data hygiene and the adoption of data best practices.
• Oversee extensive datasets in real-time streaming environments as well as batch processes.

Organizational Insight:

• Engage with stakeholders to cultivate a system fostering shared consciousness.

Communication and Persuasion:

• Contribute to the development of analytical design patterns.

You could be an ideal candidate for this role if you have:

• A background in processing various data sources such as SQL, PubSub, API-based, and Event-sourced state, leading to warehoused datasets.
• Proficiency in transforming business scenarios into data models to facilitate analysis.
• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and data services (GCP, AWS, Azure), as well as data tooling.
• Adaptability to swiftly pivot in response to evolving business needs and circumstances.

While not mandatory, extra credit for:

• Experience with automated metadata administration.
• Expertise in lineage management.
• Enthusiasm for playing a part in managing the global 200 zettabyte data volume.
