As a Member of Technical Staff within the Platform Engineering Team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing various platform aspects such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines and monorepo management. Working closely with a team of skilled engineers, you'll contribute to the strategic direction and execution of these initiatives, ultimately ensuring a seamless code deployment process for internal developers. This role offers significant cross-team exposure that fosters professional growth and meaningful collaboration.
Required Tasks:
- Design and implement advanced CI/CD pipelines focusing on security, speed, and reliability.
- Maintain and optimize the health of the monorepo to facilitate scalable dependency management and fast incremental builds.
- Collaborate with GCP to architect secure and scalable runtime environments.
- Drives improvements in "DORA metrics" including Deployment Frequency and Lead Time for Changes, by identifying and automating developer workflow friction points.
- Develop robust local and remote test infrastructure to bolster developer confidence and productivity.
- Monitor and streamline cloud and build fleet costs without compromising performance.
- Collaborate with different teams to deliver secure cloud infrastructure solutions and promote best practices in developer experience and CI.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Proficient in programming and automation.
- Experience with cloud service providers, particularly GCP and/or AWS.
- Skilled in building complex and efficient CI/CD systems.
- Familiarity with Build tools like Bazel and Gradle.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Bonuses:
