As a Security Operations and Monitoring Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the trust and safety of our clients and regulators. You will be responsible for overseeing the security of our custody platform and IT environment, ensuring proper visibility and response capabilities. Collaborating with our Security Team, you will contribute to the enhancement of our security infrastructure, secure coding practices, incident response, access permissioning, and continuous control improvement. Your expertise in triaging and responding to security alerts will be pivotal in prioritizing features and continuously improving our platform. You will also have the opportunity to work cross-functionally, collaborating with other teams to provide security insights and contribute to the overall stability and resilience of Anchorage Digital. Your top priority will be ensuring the safety and security of Anchorage Digital and its clients.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance security monitoring capabilities for our custody platform and IT environment.
- Triage and respond to security alerts from various sources.
- Collaborate with the Security Team to prioritize roadmapped features and improvements.
- Lead or contribute significantly to medium-to-large Security Team initiatives.
- Conduct investigations and forensics in response to security incidents.
- Drive work independently and coordinate activities with other team members.
- Break down large projects into smaller tasks and estimate project scope and timelines.
- Monitor industry trends and stay up to date with the latest security threats and technologies.
- Communicate effectively with team members, providing insights, recommendations, and ideas for improvement.
- Mentor and guide other engineers, ensuring a shared understanding of strategic goals.
- Collaborate with other teams to solve problems and participate in technical discussions.
Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of information security, cloud computing, and security monitoring.
- Real-world experience in implementing secure frameworks, libraries, and services.
- Familiarity with common crypto protocols, code signing, network security, and authentication/authorization.
- Experience in developing threat models and conducting incident response/forensics.
- Strong commitment to code quality and test infrastructure.
- Understanding of computer science fundamentals, such as concurrency, algorithms, and data structures.
- Self-driven, creative, humble, ambitious, detail-oriented, hardworking, trustworthy, eager to learn, methodical, action-oriented, and tenacious.
