Program Description
The Mining Engineer Fellowship (MEF) at Foundry presents an exciting opportunity for individuals who are motivated, passionate, hard-working, and curious. This fellowship program aims to bring enthusiastic participants into the dynamic and fast-growing blockchain industry. Over a two-year period, fellows will gain valuable experience by participating in the Foundry Deploy team, undergoing classroom training, working on special projects, and receiving comprehensive support to kickstart their careers in blockchain.
This position offers a rare chance to join a small yet highly professional entrepreneurial group, backed by the most established player in the rapidly expanding crypto space.
About Foundry Deploy
Foundry Deploy addresses the challenges of mining operations by providing white glove services for racking and de-racking miners. We offer end-to-end solutions, including asset tagging, diagnostics and repair, network management, and palletizing/depalletizing. This position involves directly interacting with clients and requires a deep understanding of the crypto mining ecosystem and associated equipment.
Primary Responsibilities
As a member of the Foundry Deploy team, fellows will actively participate in hands-on mining activities. Approximately 60% of their time will be dedicated to:
- Servicing and maintaining cryptocurrency miners
- Installing and configuring mining units
- Programming miners with appropriate software
- Conducting preventative maintenance
- Performing light miner repairs as needed
- Completing asset tagging and inventory management
- Initiating diagnostics and repair processes
- Managing wire and network
- Assisting with shipping and receiving equipment
- Maintaining workplace cleanliness
- Ensuring proper equipment operation
Fellows will also receive training and certification to operate machinery such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and lifts, along with using various tools and equipment.
Around 40% of their time will be dedicated to workforce and academic training, including:
- Completing company-provided math and literacy remediation programs
- Attending job readiness and financial literacy training
- Working on assigned projects
About You
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- Graduate of the Rochester City School District
- Willingness to complete program evaluations
- Ability to repeatedly lift up to 50lbs
- Capability to bend, squat, and stand for up to 45 minutes at a time
- Availability for travel within the United States (minimum 50% travel commitment)
- Minimum of 6-12 months of work experience

The range of compensation provided is transparent, but it may vary based on factors such as education, training, credentials, skills, geographic location, and experience. This range only includes base compensation and does not take into account other tangible benefits, such as 401K match, bonuses, overtime pay, and additional perks.
Range of Compensation: $20.00-$24.00/hour
