The Opportunity:
We’re looking for a Principal Product Designer to join the Innovation Lab, a protected environment dedicated to creating new ideas, features, and products. You will be responsible for developing simple prototypes that evolve into comprehensive experiences drawing on your product thinking and high fidelity design skills.
You will become part of a design-centric organization that highly values design thinking. As a Product Designer, you will have the autonomy to bring your vision to life while collaborating with a team of skilled designers, developers, and product managers driven by the goal of delivering exceptional user experiences.
What you'll do:
- Create new product concepts
- Ideate new products and features across the product offerings and beyond, seeing them through to launch
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and senior leaders to generate product concepts and establish design and experience expectations
- Develop interfaces rapidly through wireframes, prototypes, and low/high-fidelity visual designs to showcase interaction and design concepts and facilitate discussions
- Refine ideas to build out comprehensive experiences
- Develop brand elements such as brand marks and design system styling
- Carry out market research and present findings
- Plan and conduct user research activities, including interviews, focus groups, and usability tests
- Present concepts to leadership for feedback and refinement
- Collaborate with developers to implement designs
Skills & Experience Requirements:
- Understanding and holding crypto assets and basic trading knowledge
- 5+ years of experience as a product designer focusing on digital products
- Proficient in Figma, utilizing components, variables, and styles effectively
- Proven ability to solve complex problems and a strong grasp of user-centered design and UX principles
- Familiarity with various research methodologies and the ability to choose the right approach for the situation
- Demonstrated product vision and utilizing data and experimentation to steer product development
- Strong communication skills in explaining design decisions and presenting to clients and stakeholders
- Display leadership qualities and the ability to build strong relationships with product managers and engineers
Nice to have:
- Experience working in a design agency developing end-to-end products from scratch
- Knowledge of additional design tools and coding languages like C4D and After Effects
- Experience designing web landing pages and understanding web-specific constraints
