Description
The team responsible for product design focuses on transforming intricate issues into straightforward, polished, and captivating customer journeys for web and mobile interfaces. This team oversees the design process from initial user research and wireframes to final visual specifications.
About the Role:
Crypto.com is seeking a Product Design Lead to oversee a team of designers in the Main App division. In this position, you will have a pivotal role in shaping the design direction for multiple products within the app, supporting fellow designers, partnering with product managers, and fostering a positive team dynamic to deliver top-tier designs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor 2-3 product designers through collaborative design, feedback, and guidance.
- Collaborate with various product managers owning different features within the Main App to establish timelines, priorities, and ensure timely delivery.
- Offer mentorship, coaching, and support to designers to cultivate a positive design environment for their development.
- Design when necessary to communicate ideas, provide support, or set design direction.
- Establish, refine, and update an optimal design process for the team.
- Share expertise and knowledge in design to train and develop fellow designers.
- Conduct and facilitate user research activities like user interviews, focus groups, and usability tests.
- Work with the executive team to understand and implement the overarching vision and direction.
- Communicate design decisions, rationale, and direction to other departments.
Requirements:
- Profound expertise in design principles and a robust skill set to contribute significantly to the team.
- Extensive experience designing multiple B2C digital products/services for global audiences.
- A strong portfolio showcasing digital product and service design examples.
- Deep comprehension of user-centered design principles and a keen creative vision to strategize design roadmaps with senior stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and deliver high-quality products at scale.
- Proven experience in leading and coaching a design team.
- A visionary leader with a solid creative vision, understanding of business goals, and adept at executing ideas with the design team.
- An added advantage if having background or experience in related fields such as graphic design, finance, or development.
