Product Director, Banking Engagement
Our Product Management team is responsible for driving product initiatives from conception to execution, influencing and launching products/features on a global scale. We collaborate closely with various cross-functional team members to deliver exceptional features and products.
The Mission:
Your role focuses on bridging the gap between "Trading" and "Banking" to enhance the platform's utility for active traders, transitioning them into primary banking users. The aim is to establish the platform as a central cash liquidity engine, incorporating fiat and stablecoin balances for a seamless neobank experience, aiming for widespread "Primary Account" status.
The Role:
This key leadership position requires a Product expert who excels at merging customer-centricity with data-driven growth. You will go beyond conventional product management methods, fostering a culture of rapid experimentation and utilizing AI to expedite prototyping and operational efficacy. Your objective is to transform idle cash into an engaging banking experience that users integrate into their daily routine.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Engagement Leadership: Develop and steer the strategy for the Banking segment, owning the roadmap for accounts, liquidity utility, and everyday financial features with a focus on maximizing ROI.
- Engagement-First Roadmap: Establish and oversee the primary engagement KPIs for the banking vertical, ensuring each feature launch boosts Monthly Active Users and enhances everyday banking utility.
- Data-Driven Experimentation: Cultivate a top-tier experimentation culture within your team, continuously testing hypotheses related to onboarding, activation, and retention to drive incremental growth.
- AI-Forward Execution: Promote the use of AI tools within the PM and design teams to accelerate the build-measure-learn loop and enhance process efficiency.
- Banking Onboarding & CX: Manage the end-to-end banking onboarding process to deliver a seamless, delight-focused journey converting crypto-native users to active banking users.
- Portfolio Management: Supervise the development of the accounts experience, expanding from core wallet functionality to advanced savings options and cashflow solutions.
- Stakeholder Orchestration: Collaborate with Engineering, UX, Legal/Compliance teams to refine the collaboration model and ensure high-quality product delivery within a fast-paced fintech environment.
- Team Coaching: Lead and mentor a group of 2-3 PMs, instilling a customer-centric and data-driven ethos throughout the organization.
Requirements
- Engagement & Activation Expert: Demonstrated experience of 7–10+ years in product leadership within consumer fintech, neo-banks, or digital marketplaces, with a strong reputation for driving user activation and engagement.
- Experimentation Native: Proficient in high-frequency A/B testing and adept at managing products through a data-driven lens.
- Customer Centricity: Possess a solid grasp of product design and a track record of identifying and addressing customer pain points through intuitive UX.
- Strategic & Structured: Exceptional skills in structured thinking and communication, capable of breaking down a long-term vision into actionable milestones.
- AI Utility Power-User: Experienced in leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and expecting the same from your team.
- Commercially Astute: Understanding the rationale behind business metrics, particularly the importance of deposit retention and cross-selling in financial ecosystems.
- (Bonus Point) Banking Industry Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of the neo-banking and payments landscape in the US and Europe, including industry standards, user expectations, and regulatory frameworks.
