- Role Overview
This pivotal leadership position at the core of an international trading engine focuses on the product strategy for fundamental banking operations at Crypto.com. As the Product Director for Core Banking & Payments, you will be responsible for devising the overall product strategy for fiat deposits and withdrawals, which are essential for facilitating smooth money movements for millions of Retail, Private, and Institutional clients globally.
Your scope of work will involve decisions on platform building, choice of payment rails, banking partnerships, and transaction routing. Accountability for key metrics such as Total Funds Flow, acceptance rates, settlement speed, and transaction cost across different markets also falls within your purview. This role reports to the VP of Product, Banking.
- Key Responsibilities
Global Banking Network: - Establish and optimize the cross-border payment infrastructure across various markets, ensuring extensive rail coverage and uninterrupted fiat access.
Speed & Latency: - Assess and integrate payment rails according to transaction speed requirements to support instant trading transactions.
Liquidity & Settlement: - Formulate bank partnerships to uphold continuous liquidity for user pay-outs and trading settlements.
Acceptance Rate Optimization: - Drive enhancements in pay-in acceptance by refining relationships with processors, adjusting fraud rules, and compliance logic.
Strategic Bank Partnerships: - Lead negotiations and integrations for direct bank relationships to secure beneficial rates and tailored solutions for trading activities.
Payment Orchestration & Routing: - Design and manage a dynamic routing logic that selects the optimal rail in real-time based on various factors.
Institutional On-Ramp: - Establish compliant and expandable fiat payment solutions for institutional clients.
- Requirements
Experience: - 7–10+ years of progressive product leadership experience focused on payment infrastructure or core banking products - Proven track record in building and scaling cross-border payment rails in a real-time, high-volume environment - Hands-on experience with direct bank integrations and successful commercial partnership negotiations - Previous involvement with payment orchestration and dynamic routing logic in actual settings - Expertise in creating fiat solutions for institutional clients within trading or fintech sectors
Skills: - Proficiency in technical aspects of complex API products, data flows, and payment protocol integrations - Hands-on experience with core banking platforms and integration with payment schemes - Skill in partnering with banks, PSPs, and acquiring processors - Strong leadership and people management skills in maintaining high team standards - Excellent stakeholder management abilities across multiple functional areas
