About the Role:
This role plays a crucial part as a product leader within Crypto.com's regulated trading business. The Product Manager, Fiat & FCM, will be accountable for the end-to-end fiat product strategy for the Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) and regulated US trading platform. This entails managing the infrastructure that facilitates instant, compliant, and reliable funding and withdrawal processes for retail, private, and institutional clients in a CFTC/NFA-regulated trading environment.
FCM is a key focus area for Crypto.com, with the role extending beyond this to encompass developing a distinguished banking-rail strategy for scaling across different markets and currencies. The responsibilities also include broadening these strategies to other business segments, including selecting banking partners, segregation and settlement of customer funds, and managing fund movement activities.
The team operates across global time zones - APAC, EU, and US, necessitating effective communication and collaboration across distributed teams.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee fiat funding and withdrawal processes for the FCM platform, managing customer fund segregation, margin funding flows, and regulatory reporting obligations.
- Select and integrate payment rails based on speed, cost, and reversibility to support the expansion of the platform into various markets and currencies.
- Lead assessments, negotiations, and integrations for direct banking relationships to support regulated trading operations, which includes securing favorable rates and tailored service structures.
- Develop and optimize payment infrastructure globally to ensure high rail coverage and uptime for fiat access.
- Implement payment rails based on transaction speed demands to facilitate instant trading and margin call activities.
- Cultivate banking partnerships to uphold continuous liquidity for mass user payouts and high-frequency trading settlements.
- Enhance pay-in acceptance rates through processor relationship optimization, fraud rule adjustments, and compliance logic refinement.
- Design and manage logic for a real-time routing engine that selects the most suitable rail based on multiple factors such as user segment, jurisdiction, currency, speed, and risk profile.
- Construct compliant, scalable fiat solutions for institutional trading clients, encompassing segregated accounts, wire processing, and bulk API functions.
Requirements:
- Experience in regulated FCM, futures brokerage, or trading platforms, with understanding of fund segregation, margin funding, and regulatory fund-handling requirements.
- Profound knowledge of payment rails across multiple markets, especially in the US and EU, including settlement timing and implications for regulated trading operations.
- Previous experience with direct bank integrations, negotiation of commercial partnerships, and exposure to specialized banking charters.
- 7–10+ years of product leadership experience, with a significant focus on payment infrastructure, core banking, or regulated trading products.
- Demonstrated success in building and scaling payment rails in high-volume, real-time environments.
- Proven track record of managing payment orchestration and dynamic routing processes.
- Familiarity with designing institutional fiat solutions, complex API products, data flows, and payment protocol integrations.
