Protocol Growth & Partnerships Manager
At Anchorage Digital, a leading crypto platform specializing in enabling institutional participation in digital assets, we are in search of an experienced Protocol Growth & Partnerships Manager to join our Protocols Partnerships team. In this key role, you will serve as the primary liaison and strategic consultant for our vital protocol clients, which encompass their foundations and treasury teams.
The primary objective is to cultivate enduring partnerships with these crucial clients, acting as the central figure in comprehensively understanding their ecosystems, including technical roadmaps and treasury management strategies. Your responsibilities will include identifying growth opportunities by leveraging our internally available resources across Custody, Staking, Trading, and Product offerings to present integrated solutions that optimize the financial return and strategic significance of each partnership.

Technical Skills:
- Strategic Account Management: Establish and nurture relationships as the trusted advisor for a selected group of protocol foundation and treasury clients, comprehensively understanding their strategic objectives, technical roadmaps, and pain points.
- Complex Deal Navigation: Create mutually beneficial, tailored, multi-product contracts through negotiations that cover various aspects ranging from treasury management mandates to intricate ecosystem investments.
Complexity and Impact of Work:
- Market Representation: Represent the company at industry events and in the developer community, shaping our reputation as the indispensable partner for protocols aiming for expansion.
- Ecosystem & Product Strategy: Advocate for protocol interests internally by relaying pivotal feedback from protocols to our Product and Engineering teams, influencing our roadmap development to align with market needs.
Organizational Knowledge:
- Revenue Expansion & Cross-Selling: Drive the growth lifecycle of specific accounts by proactively identifying and executing cross-selling opportunities across our suite of products, including custody, staking, trading, and governance solutions.
Communication and Influence:
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Foster seamless collaboration with internal teams such as Sales, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Compliance to ensure an exceptional experience for our valued partners.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Possess 5-7+ years of experience in client-facing partnerships, business development, or institutional sales within the Web3 ecosystem.
- Crypto Understanding: Show deep expertise in the crypto landscape, encompassing Proof-of-Stake networks, DeFi, tokenomics, and the operational challenges faced by protocol treasuries.
- Track Record: Demonstrate success in managing complex relationships with sophisticated clients, surpassing revenue targets consistently. Build a high-quality network within the Web3 ecosystem.
- Communication Skills: Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with technical founders and finance-focused treasury managers effectively.
- Negotiation Skills: Showcase experience in negotiating complex, multi-faceted commercial agreements.
- Mindset: Possess a strategic, entrepreneurial mindset to work autonomously in a rapidly changing, ambiguous environment.
