The Challenge
A dedicated Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer is sought to join the QA Team at the Decentraland Foundation. In this role, you will collaborate closely with QA Management, Developers, and the Product Team to ensure the platform, creation tools, and web offerings perform flawlessly, are bug-free, and deliver an exceptional user experience. If you have a passion for social platforms, the metaverse, gaming, Web3, crypto, blockchain, and emerging technologies, this is the perfect environment for your skills. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with developers and the QA Manager to guarantee quality standards across all platform aspects.
- Conduct thorough cross-browser and cross-device testing tasks on the Decentraland platform.
- Create and execute test cases, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Document and report bugs in coordination with the product teams.
- Provide QA insights during planning and development in product team meetings.
- Liaise with the Support team to address live platform issues promptly.
- Act as a QA knowledge source and advocate for QA best practices within the team.
Required Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of QA experience, with a preference for gaming and/or blockchain backgrounds.
- Proficient in test plan and test case development and execution.
- Knowledge of GitHub for version control and collaboration purposes.
- Experience in testing Unity-based applications.
- Thorough understanding of Windows and macOS operating environments.
- Familiarity with automation tools and API testing.
- Strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and effective time management.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive team-centric mindset.
- Essential experience in Web3, blockchain, or game/product development.
- Proficiency in written and verbal English.
- Comfort operating PowerShell and Mac Terminal.
