Your mission

As a QA Engineer you’ll directly be part of Bitpanda’s innovative platform solution and you’ll have hands-on access to a great diversity of technologies. We’re building the infrastructure for trading and payment services in state-of-the-art technologies, so you’ll directly work with a senior backend team. We’re looking for a smart and talented colleague who wants to take part in this fintech journey and can bring solid QA knowledge and experience.

About the team

The Payments Infrastructure team is part of Bitpanda’s Trade Hub solution. This team’s main focus is to provide users with a wide range of payment solutions from best-in-class payment providers and enable a smooth entry to Bitpanda’s trading experience for users from different countries using different currencies.

What you’ll do 

• Help the team develop rich test ideas, scenarios and experiments that yield an in-depth coverage of systems under test (well above and beyond positive, negative and edge cases)
• Be an integral part of the agile development workflow and an advocate for testing and code quality within the engineering teams you work with, from standups to sprint planning, to backlog refinement and long-term planning
• Write and maintain test cases at all levels of our stack (server-side and front end)
• Work with backend teams to ensure quality throughout the development life cycle overseeing build and deployment activities

Who you are 

• 3+ years of QA engineer experience, understanding QA processes and methodologies
• Solid understanding of QA responsibilities within an agile software development team/deployment processes
• Experience testing a variety of web services, APIs and data
• Strong analytical, diagnostic and creative problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment
