THE ROLE
As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be responsible for upholding the reliability and quality of the software produced by the team. This role involves close collaboration with various departments like Product Management, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, and Operations. You will participate in projects by designing and implementing software testing processes, ensuring code quality through exploratory and automated testing, bug tracking, issue identification, and resolution.
This position will be located in our Etobicoke office, with a hybrid work schedule.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Oversee quality assurance activities for fintech products, developing strategies, test cases, and executing plans to ensure software functionality and reliability.
- Create and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Selenium WebDriver, Appium, or Cypress to enhance efficiency and streamline testing processes.
- Conduct comprehensive regression testing and performance monitoring using tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, and Gatling.
- Track and report software defects, collaborate with development teams for prompt issue resolution.
- Engage with stakeholders to clarify features.
- Collaborate with product owners and developers on requirements and user stories.
- Be proficient in test automation tools and programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Use tools like Postman and SoapUI for API and web services testing.
- Utilize SQL queries for data validation and verification.
- Manage test scripts and data using version control systems like Git.
- Use test management tools for planning and execution tracking.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Proficiency in Jira, Java, and Postman.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a QA Analyst.
- Relevant certifications like ISTQB or CFA.
- Strong SQL and RDBM knowledge.
- Experience with HTTP Rest APIs.
- Programming skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proficiency with functional testing automation tools such as Selenium.
