Quantitative Research Intern (Hong Kong/Remote)
This is a fully remote term-time internship with a preference for candidates based in Hong Kong. Please note that physical office presence in HK is not required. The internship offers flexible start dates with no specific onboarding schedule.
We are seeking an Intern Quant Trader with expertise in Python, Golang, or C++, a keen interest in mid/long-term frequency trading, quantitative trading, and a basic understanding of cryptocurrency trading. This role entails extensive research and development in testing and asset trading to create new trading strategies. Responsibilities include researching, implementing, executing strategies, and automation where applicable.
Requirements
- MSc / PhD in a research-intensive STEM field (Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, etc)
- Graduation from a top-tier university
- Zeal for developing quantitative trading strategies and analyzing conclusions from large datasets
- Proficiency in coding – 2 to 5 years of experience in Python, Golang, or C++ (test required)
- Minimum 3-month internship or full-time position completion at a proprietary trading firm or hedge fund as a Quantitative Researcher/Trader, must be involved in alpha-related projects during the internship (school projects or data analyst roles are not considered)
Desirable Skills
- Familiarity with Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, or Deep Learning
- Understanding of the DeFi and Web 3.0 ecosystem
Salary
For candidates residing outside Asia, the salary structure aligns with Asian standards rather than the candidate's local cost of living.
