Flow Traders seeks an adept Research Engineer Team Lead to join the Quantitative Tools team stationed in the Amsterdam office. Responsibilities:
- Lead and provide guidance to a small team accountable for advancing our global research frameworks and tools
- Drive the design and growth of our systematic trading platform, encompassing research frameworks and tools, as well as production trading systems
- Coordinate the collaborative endeavors essential for extending the platform's reach globally across all involved teams
Requirements for Success:
- Proficiency in leading, coaching, and mentoring junior engineers
- Over 10 years of experience in the software development field within a dynamic tech setting
- Previous commercial exposure to crafting and executing systematic trading systems, including low-latency trading engines/algorithms, research frameworks/pipelines, and their integration
- Extensive practical expertise as a key individual contributor in Python, Java, and/or C++
- Demonstrated capability to steer software architecture and decision-making across the organization
- Knowledge of Big Data technologies like Hadoop and Spark, as well as machine learning tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong analytical acumen and a data-centric perspective
