About the Role

You will be part of our Research team as a Research Scientist Intern, focusing on face perception. This position is well-suited for a highly motivated individual with a background in scene perception, human face and motion tracking in videos, and scene interpretation. Your primary responsibility will involve independent research and the development of pioneering algorithms to process video content, particularly related to human detection for enhancing AI-powered filmmaking tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct independent research on face detection and motion tracking algorithms.
• Design and implement models to accurately identify human faces in challenging scenarios.
• Integrate cutting-edge advancements in disciplines such as human body/face detection and 2D/3D motion tracking.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement research findings into production tools.
• Stay up-to-date with academic and industry advancements to contribute to internal knowledge sharing.
• Create technical documentation and support potential publications and patents.

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a PhD or advanced graduate degree in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Graphics, or a related field.
• Demonstrated research experience with published work showcased in esteemed conferences.
• Proficiency in face detection, head pose tracking, and motion tracking technologies.
• Hands-on experience in model development, especially in image or video synthesis.
• Familiarity with Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Strong grasp of linear algebra, numerical optimization, and deep learning principles.
• Previous involvement in human body/face keypoint detection at an advanced level.
• Bonus: Knowledge of cloud platforms for large-scale training and experience with real-time rendering engines.

The compensation for this position ranges from $6,200 to $7,000 per month.
