Research Scientist - LLM Foundation Models

Responsibilities

• Develop strategies for enhancing reasoning and planning processes in model development by improving data acquisition, model evaluation, reward modeling, and reinforcement learning to boost overall performance.
• Utilize various methods such as rewriting, augmentation, and data generation to synthesize large-scale, high-quality data and enhance the capabilities of foundation models at different stages.
• Employ advanced decoding strategies like MCTS and A* to tackle complex tasks using system 2 thinking.
• Create and implement robust evaluation methodologies to gauge model performance effectively at various development phases.
• Instruct foundation models on using tools, interacting with APIs, and coding interpreters while building agents and multi-agent systems to solve intricate tasks.

Requirements

• Possess significant research experience in RL, LLM, and large-scale model training with a preference for proficiency.
• Must have a strong foundation in data structures, fundamental algorithm skills, and proficiency in Python or C++/Java.
• Previous engagement with noteworthy projects or papers in RL, NLP, or Deep Learning would be advantageous.
• Demonstrate excellent problem analysis and solving abilities to address challenges in large-scale model training and application.
• Showcase good communication and collaboration skills, capable of exploring new technologies with the team and promoting technological advancements.
