Rust Engineer (Greenfield project)

Responsibilities

• Participate in the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of software for various projects
• Engage in architectural decisions, design reviews, code reviews, and implementation Identify and solve complex problems in the blockchain protocol
• Collaborate with operations and infrastructure teams to create scalable back-end services
• Manage documentation for all implemented code and functionalities
• Work closely with DevOps and ecosystem engineers to enhance the tech stack for long-term engineering advancements

Requirements

• Proficiency in various technologies, quick learner with a proactive attitude
• Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills, capable of managing competing requirements from multiple stakeholders
• Willingness to embrace new ideas, open to feedback and challenges
• Ability to work independently, take initiative, and execute tasks with minimal guidance
• Enthusiasm for learning, collaborative work, and providing and receiving feedback
• 5+ years of engineering experience, particularly in strong backend development (e.g., Go, Rust, Java, Erlang)
• Experience in utilizing basic cryptographic primitives and knowledge of distributed systems and consensus algorithms
• Familiarity with or interest in Go, Rust, and basic blockchain system internals
