In our work to solve complex problems in the blockchain industry, we collaborate with esteemed companies such as Ethereum Foundation, StarkWare, Gnosis Chain, Aave, Flashbots, xDai, Open Zeppelin, Forta Protocol, Energy Web, POA Network, and many others.
We actively contribute to the development of Ethereum core, EIP's, and network upgrades alongside the Ethereum Foundation and other client teams.
Our team consists of nearly 200 individuals working remotely from over 45+ countries.

Security Apprenticeship Program
Our Security Apprenticeship Program provides students and graduates worldwide a unique opportunity to engage in directed and autonomous study in various topics related to smart contract security. Participants will make valuable contributions to the evolution of smart contracts through challenging and exciting projects.
As an apprentice at Nethermind, you will have the chance to collaborate closely with our Gauss team and take part in a deep dive into learning for a period of 3 months. Throughout this program, you will benefit from mentorship, continuous coaching, and access to the expertise of top blockchain security researchers.
This apprenticeship program is a paid opportunity.
Responsibilities
As an apprentice in the Security Apprenticeship Program, your responsibilities will include:
- Engaging in directed and autonomous study on various topics focusing on smart contract security.
- Collaborating with top blockchain security researchers and benefiting from their mentorship and continuous coaching.
- Conducting an independent research project in an area of mutual interest.
- Performing hands-on code auditing using our methodologies and techniques.
- Providing verbal and written reports on identified vulnerabilities.
- Upscaling your technical capabilities in Web3 security.
Requirements
To be considered for this program, you should have the following qualifications:
- PhD in Computer Science, Math, or a related field.
- Passion for the blockchain space and decentralization.
- Basic knowledge of the Solidity programming language.
- Basic understanding of Ethereum or other EVM based blockchains.
- Analytical mindset and an interest in tackling complex problems.
- Desire to develop adversarial thinking and a hacker mindset.
- Above-average attention to detail.
- Advanced level of English and excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
