Your Role
You will be responsible for leading a team of skilled risk management professionals, guiding them to effectively implement risk management strategies within Bitpanda. As a key member of the risk management team, you will enforce non-financial risk frameworks, focusing on operational risk assessment and control frameworks.
Reporting to the VP of Group Risk Management, you will act as a functional lead, overseeing the management, treatment, and reporting of group risks to ensure Bitpanda maintains a robust operational risk profile.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a team of operational risk managers in identifying, assessing, treating, and monitoring risks throughout the company.
Implement and oversee the non-financial risk framework within Bitpanda, engaging with senior stakeholders to ensure effective risk management processes.
Drive transformation projects aimed at embedding a strong risk culture through streamlined mechanisms and tools.
Manage governance committees and provide concise reporting on Bitpanda's operational risk profile to senior management.
Qualifications
Seasoned professional with a strong background in Operational and Non-financial Risk, ideally in financial services or technology sectors.
Adept at providing constructive oversight to first-line counterparts as an Operational Risk Subject Matter Expert.
Demonstrated experience in implementing and managing risk management frameworks, including assessments, remediation, and reporting.
Strong understanding of cross-functional interactions involving Operational Risk, Compliance, Anti-financial Crime, and IT.
Capable leader who can make timely decisions and implement strategies independently.
