We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated engineer to contribute to the development of the cryptographic infrastructure for our Web 3.0-enabled blockchain ecosystem. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing blockchain scaling solutions using zero-knowledge cryptography. The objective is to significantly reduce the costs associated with deploying products on the blockchain. You will work in an international team, in a stimulating and innovative environment, where technical expertise drives the development of cutting-edge blockchain technology. Responsibilities:
- Design and implement cryptographic solutions for blockchain-based applications, utilizing modern cryptography techniques such as zero-knowledge proofs (ZK), multi-party computation (MPC), and fully homomorphic encryption (FHE).
- Take technical ownership of new systems, identifying areas for innovative research and development.
- Write reusable, testable, and efficient code, following best practices and emphasizing security.
- Play a key role in shaping the company's future by being involved in strategic decision-making processes and witnessing the impact of your contributions.
- Attend conferences and identify opportunities within the on-chain ecosystem.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.
- Passion for developing secure, reliable, well-documented, and performant software.
- Flexibility to work in an agile environment.
- Experience with implementing cryptographic solutions, including low-level mathematics and knowledge of common attacks.
- Strong understanding of applied cryptography and interest in developing effective, practical cryptographic solutions for complex systems and innovative products.
- Ability to propose novel approaches based on the latest cryptography research.
- Experience in technical writing and documentation.
- Clear communication skills, including the ability to articulate abstract ideas.
- Enjoy mentoring junior developers and sharing your expertise.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams within engineering, marketing, and other support functions to deliver top-notch solutions.
- Self-motivated, independent, and humble.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with system languages such as C, C++, Go, and/or strongly typed programming languages like OCaml, Haskell, Rust.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of advanced zero-knowledge solutions such as Plonk, STARKs, zk(E)VMs, and recursive proof composition.
- Theoretical and practical experience with blockchain-based systems, with a focus on Ethereum and/or other EVM-based solutions.
- Optimizing low-level mathematical operations, including assembly level programming.
- Familiarity with GPU/FPGA programming is a plus.
In compliance with New York City's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position in NYC is USD $140,000 to USD $170,000. The displayed salary range represents the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries in this location. Salary ranges consider factors such as role, level, experience, and location.
