Senior Data Analyst, Compliance (Bulgaria)
We are in search of a qualified Compliance Senior Data Analyst with proficiency in SQL, Python, and data automation tools. This role is a vital contributor to our Global Regulatory Reporting team responsible for meeting licensing and tax reporting obligations. As a Compliance Senior Data Analyst, you will gain in-depth knowledge of our products and data flows to support regulatory reporting accurately and punctually.
This position requires an individual who can independently navigate complex data challenges, communicate effectively, and collaborate seamlessly across teams and different time zones. The successful candidate should be skilled in data analytics, SQL, Python, Jira, and data visualization, with experience in utilizing APIs for third-party platform integration as a strong advantage. A strong enthusiasm for financial innovation and a proactive approach to cross-functional problem-solving are essential qualities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in upcoming CARF/DAC8 tax reporting tasks by utilizing SQL queries to extract and validate data accurately.
- Support global regulatory reporting obligations, ensuring all mandated data deliverables are completed promptly.
- Maintain and update tasks in Jira ticketing systems, providing regular status updates.
- Employ Agile or SCRUM methodologies for task tracking and workflows.
- Uphold response and documentation standards for both ad-hoc and recurring data requests.
- Collaborate with Global Compliance stakeholders to meet data requirements from regulators, financial partners, and internal leadership.
- Follow established procedures for important reporting tasks, identify and implement new tools and processes for improved data preparation and sharing.
- Document workflows and processes for clarity and consistency.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proficient in efficient SQL query writing across extensive datasets, focusing on performance and data accuracy.
- Experience with Python or similar languages for data processing or automation.
- Excellent English communication skills suitable for a global, multicultural setting.
- Strategic problem-solving skills with a structured approach.
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Exposure to cross-functional projects, potential collaboration outside standard hours due to varied time zones.
- Knowledge in financial services, especially in regulatory and tax reporting within banking or fintech.
