Duties:

• Develop and implement a flexible and scalable data warehouse aligned with company requirements, streamlining delivery and minimizing redundant development efforts.
• Create, test, deploy, and monitor data models and ETL jobs; solve complex issues efficiently and optimize pipeline performance.
• Take charge of data governance activities by establishing and maintaining metadata management and ensuring data quality monitoring mechanisms are in place.
• Encourage the growth of the technical team by providing mentorship, knowledge sharing, and enhancing collective skills continuously.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of practical experience in building data warehouse solutions.
• Profound knowledge in data warehouse modeling, governance principles, dimensional modeling, data vault methodologies, and “one data” principles.
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python along with strong Hive and Spark SQL programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with OLAP engines such as Apache Kylin, Impala, Presto, Druid.
• Expertise in developing high-throughput batch pipelines on Big Data platforms.
• Familiarity with core Big Data technologies, including Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, etc.
• AWS Big Data service experience is beneficial.
• Strong analytical and system-design skills, with the ability to comprehend business requirements and architect solutions effectively.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to build partnerships across teams and stakeholders.
• Preferred: Experience managing massive-scale data in Internet-scale environments and handling critical production incidents.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin is necessary to liaise with international partners and stakeholders.
