Senior Developer - Java, Python, Data and Quantitative Analytics

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve applications using Java and Python focusing on performance and scalability.
• Deploy and manage event processing and messaging queues, specializing in technologies such as Kafka, Flink, and Complex Event Processing (CEP).
• Create and manage cloud solutions on AWS to ensure scalability and high availability.
• Administer Kubernetes (k8s) clusters for container management and orchestration.
• Perform quantitative data analysis utilizing robust analytics to enhance system performance.
• Utilize tools like Prometheus and Grafana for effective time-series data visualization and monitoring.
• Generate and manage statistical reports and reporting systems to provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with teams to automate and streamline trading, reconciliation, and analytics processes.
• Offer advanced technical support and troubleshoot developed systems and applications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Java and Python development.
• Proficiency in event processing and messaging queues such as Kafka, Flink, and CEP.
• Strong AWS cloud services expertise and proficient in managing Kubernetes environments.
• Demonstrated capability in quantitative data analysis and familiarity with analytic frameworks.
• Proficient in Prometheus and Grafana for time-series data visualization and monitoring.
• Experience in developing and managing reporting systems with strong statistical report generation knowledge.
• Previous exposure to trading or financial environments beneficial.
• Solid understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Problem-solving skills, ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Aeron messaging and Simple Binary Encoding (SBE) protocol.
• C++ familiarity and experience with FPGA programming.
• Understanding of cryptocurrency markets and related technologies.
• Exposure to network programming (TCP, WebSocket).
• Proficiency with Linux system administration and optimization.
• Past experience with technologies like Boost, ZeroMQ, MongoDB, Protobuffer.
