Primary Responsibilities Overview:
As you report to the VP of Creative Lab, your role as a senior leader is pivotal in shaping a high-impact website and content initiatives that align with the Marketing team's objectives and Circle's corporate key results. You will take charge of:
Key Responsibilities:
- Crafting an innovative website narrative approach that guides users through a compelling journey and enhances the overall storytelling structure of each page. This involves spearheading new projects, optimizing website content, and refining page design.
- Leading content discovery strategies and overseeing the comprehensive site redesign, ensuring focus on prioritized activities that cater to user content requirements.
- Developing UX copy for functional web components, including navigation menus and customer engagement flows.
- Collaborating with design and engineering teams to establish the hierarchy of page content, shape narrative user paths, and more.
- Managing an initial IC Content Strategist, providing support for their growth through feedback and guidance, and amplifying the impact of the Content Strategy discipline within the Marketing domain.
- Collaborating with the internationalization team to ensure top-notch product experiences are mirrored on Circle’s platforms, marketing initiatives, and promotional materials across various languages and regions.
- Establishing content guidelines to facilitate the creation of clear, engaging, and on-brand web content by internal partners such as writers, product marketers, and others, spanning different page formats.
- Taking ownership of and refining global taxonomy documentation, and contributing to content tagging systems to bolster content, search, and SEO efforts.
- Offering writing solutions for an array of content requirements including website content, UX copy for navigation, short-form and long-form copy, social media content, event messaging, product launches, and newsletters.
- Playing a role in shaping the content strategy for the company’s intranet in coordination with relevant stakeholders including Marketing and IT members.
- Demonstrating adept management capabilities while collaborating with diverse internal partners from marketing, product, engineering, policy, communications, and legal fields.
- Utilizing your writing prowess, understanding of user experience fundamentals, and familiarity with front-end development requirements to craft product copy that facilitates customer comprehension and interaction with Circle’s offerings.
- Engaging with peers from the Director level in the Creative Lab team and throughout the Marketing department during biannual planning cycles, to allocate resources effectively based on the most critical company objectives.
- Conducting comprehensive analysis of the content landscape (website, video content, webinar presentations, whitepapers, documentation, etc.) in conjunction with peers from Digital Marketing, Website Design, and Brand Strategy to identify areas for impact and promote consistent scalability.

Required Credentials:
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience in content strategy encompassing brand marketing and management within creative/media agencies and corporate environments.
- Over 5 years in roles of marketing leadership with a proven track record.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, with a Master’s Degree viewed as an advantage.
- Possess an executive presence enabling you to influence a diverse range of stakeholders effectively.
- A critical thinker with exceptional written and verbal communication skills, adept at crafting compelling content that narrates the Circle story to varied audiences.
- Flourish in dynamic situations, adept at bringing structure to ambiguity.
- Advocate for technological transformation like cryptography and blockchain in remolding financial transactions.
- Familiarity with tools such as Slack, Coda, Asana, Apple MacOS, and GSuite.
- Comfortable designing content tailored for multiple surfaces and channels encompassing web, email, and product interfaces.
- Previous experience in systems thinking concerning content expansion and the ability to drive substantial information architecture projects excitedly.
- Proficiency in content structuring adhering to inclusivity and accessibility standards for a global user base.
- Understanding of web design principles and SEO best practices relevant to ecommerce and SaaS operations.
Additional Details:
- Eligible for day-one PERM sponsorship for qualified individuals.
- Circle’s holistic compensation approach considers various factors like experience, expertise, qualifications, and organizational necessities when determining compensation ranges.
- Initial pay scale: $220,000 - $275,000; Annual Bonus Target: 25%.
- Additional benefits include Equity & Benefits (health, dental, vision, 401(k)), discretionary vacation policy, 10 days of annual paid sick leave, and 11 paid holidays per year in the U.S.
