Role Responsibilities:
- Provide expertise in implementing and utilizing Identity and Access Management (IAM) functionalities for both consumer and workforce systems.
- Collaborate with technical team members to offer guidance on IAM-related issues, contribute to solution design, and support system maintenance.
- Lead the implementation and maintenance of IAM platforms, including response to system issues and enforcing change management processes.
- Address Level 2 tickets concerning defects, outages, and feature requests.
- Ensure Circle's solutions comply with regulatory and internal standards.
- Develop and update IAM policies, standards, and procedures.
- Generate reports and collaborate on compliance inquiries.
- Align IAM security measures with the overall security strategy to mitigate risks to Circle.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in implementing identity and access management systems using various programming languages.
- Strong interest in scalable, reproducible security practices.
- Self-motivated problem-solver with the ability to work independently and collaboratively under pressure.
- Proficient in managing multiple priorities effectively and making informed prioritization decisions.
- Familiarity with IAM protocols and technologies like SAML, OIDC, OAuth, and PAM.
- Experience with IAM solutions from vendors such as Okta, Ping, Sailpoint, Savant, or Microsoft.
- Knowledge of standards like ISO 27001/27002 or NIST Cybersecurity Framework is advantageous.
- Experience in the financial services or financial technology sector is desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, or a related field; equivalent work experience is acceptable.
- Proficiency in an AWS environment is required.
- Software development skills in languages like Python, Golang, or equivalent.
Additional Details:

In terms of compensation, starting pay is influenced by multiple factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, and organizational needs. The compensation package for this role ranges from $147,500 to $195,000 annually, with an annual bonus target of 12.5% along with equity and comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) contributions. Circle offers a discretionary vacation policy, 10 days of annual paid sick leave, and 11 paid holidays per year within the United States.
