Role Summary:

An opportunity for a skilled Senior Unity Engineer to take the lead in developing a new mid-core 3D mobile game project with Limit Break. Initially collaborating with a small team to create and refine a prototype, you will progress to expanding the team during the various stages of development, working with leads and directors to transition the project into full production.

This role offers a unique chance for an inquisitive, diligent individual to spearhead an original game project within an experienced organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead the technical design and development of a new Unity 3D game project from concept to complete production
  • Work closely with design and production teams to generate and iterate the game prototype effectively
  • Collaborate with other team leaders to expand the development team and project scope
  • Translate high-level direction into functional prototypes or scalable systems as required
  • Identify focus areas, provide effective solutions, and prioritize game tasks efficiently
  • Establish and enforce best practices, processes, and pipelines for game development
  • Conduct code and architecture reviews
  • Integrate new technologies to enhance workflow efficiency and create secure, maintainable games

Qualifications:

  • B.S. (or higher) in Computer Science or related field
  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on live service mobile games
  • 5+ years of Unity 3D game development experience
  • Strong initiative, ownership, and system architecture foundations
  • Experience guiding a game from early prototype to launch, preferably using Unity
  • Versatility in working with a variety of technologies
  • Effective communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Solution-oriented and proactive approach to tasks
