Senior Frontend Engineer - Custody Experience

BitGo is a prominent player in digital asset financial services, offering custody, liquidity, and security services to institutional investors. Engaged in centralized and decentralized finance, BitGo delivers leading trading, lending, and borrowing solutions through its prime brokerage services and serves as the custodian for WBTC. BitGo provides clients with a comprehensive digital asset solution through innovations like BitGo Portfolio and Tax launched in 2020 and BitGo Trust Company created in 2018. Handling approximately 20% of global Bitcoin transactions and supporting over 1,000 coins and tokens, BitGo serves a diverse customer base that includes major crypto exchanges and institutional investors across more than 50 countries. Supported by a lineup of reputable investors like Goldman Sachs, Craft Ventures, Digital Currency Group, and others.

We are currently seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join our team. Given the substantial volume of cryptocurrency transactions processed by BitGo, we prioritize delivering high-quality software and platforms. Our integrated platforms connect with various exchanges, agencies, and governments worldwide, and we leverage cutting-edge technology in the industry to build and enhance them.

This role is based onsite at our office in Palo Alto, CA.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with design and product managers to design and develop new UIs for upcoming projects
• Enhance existing UI functionality across multiple products
• Develop reusable code for future applications
• Work on improving the health of the codebase
• Engage in cross-team communication with stakeholders to understand implementation requirements
• Mentor peers within the engineering team through code reviews and sharing best practices
• Offer maintenance support and optimize performance for existing applications

Skills & Experience:

Required:

• Minimum of 5 years of frontend software engineering experience
• Proficiency with React
• Advanced skills in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks
• Familiarity with Node.js and Express applications
• Exposure to design systems
• Knowledge of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting

Nice to have:

• Interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology
• Familiarity with Tailwind, React-Query, NextJS

Pay Transparency Notice: Based on your level and location, the compensation package for this role typically ranges between $165,000 - $210,000 USD in base salary. Additionally, equity, an annual performance bonus, and the aforementioned benefits are included.
