The Security Team
The security department at Chainlink Labs acts as the guardian of the organization's people and infrastructure, ensuring protection against internal and external threats. The role of the Senior IT Systems Engineer demands an experienced IT developer committed to enhancing infrastructure, automation, and processes to deliver outstanding customer service. This position entails being a pivotal member of the growing IT team, tasked with engineering solutions for identity, endpoint management, core infrastructure, and employee productivity systems. This role presents an opportunity to help shape the future of the IT organization from its inception.
Operating within the Security function, the role requires close collaboration with the Security team to plan, implement, and communicate initiatives that enhance both productivity and security. It is suitable for individuals with strong hands-on engineering skills and a penchant for developing new processes.

Your Impact
- Enhance company-wide productivity and security through the development of identity and access management solutions.
- Expand the implementation of SSO identity lifecycle, workflow automation, and application integration platform.
- Develop and execute policies, procedures, infrastructure, and support systems for endpoint device management.
- Deploy technical solutions across diverse platforms like MacOS, Linux, and Windows.
- Proficiently manage and maintain core IT infrastructure in a public cloud environment, specifically AWS.
- Implement automation across core productivity tools by creating custom applications to reduce manual effort.
- Operationalize new solutions targeting critical business challenges.
- Anticipate business needs, explore opportunities for innovation, and enhance the employee experience continuously.
- Establish strategic partnerships internally to streamline operations.
- Lead the planning, execution, and completion of projects within designated responsibilities.
- Enhance operational effectiveness by defining new runbooks and optimizing existing documentation.
- Mentor IT team members to elevate their skills.
- Serve as a cultural ambassador in a fast-paced startup environment.
Requirements
- Possess over 10 years of IT-related experience.
- Advanced expertise in IAM administration and engineering, including SSO development/integration and leveraging associated tools and APIs.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Experience in administering MDM Platforms like Jamf or VMWare Workspace ONE.
- Strong knowledge of hosting and managing AWS infrastructure.
- Experience with Atlassian Suite products on AWS.
- Familiarity with software development methodologies and version control systems.
- Proficiency in managing core SaaS products like Okta, GSuite, Jira, Confluence, and Slack.
- Experience in supporting major operating systems in various environments.
- Familiarity with Linux distributions and DevOps tools.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts effectively.
- Sound knowledge of security best practices.
- ITIL certification or equivalent experience.
