Senior/ Lead Blockchain Protocol Engineer

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in development tasks, shape architectural decisions, assist in designs, conduct design and code reviews, and implement solutions to complex issues within the blockchain protocol
• Analyze and resolve challenging problems across the blockchain protocol while closely working with operations and infrastructure teams to build high-scale backend services
• Ensure thorough documentation of all code and functionalities implemented
• Collaborate with DevOps and ecosystem engineers to enhance the tech stack for long-term engineering initiatives

• Self-motivated individual capable of defining and executing tasks independently with minimal supervision
• Willingness to learn, collaborate, and provide feedback, with at least 5 years of engineering experience focusing on backend development (e.g., Go, Rust)
• Practical experience in utilizing basic cryptographic primitives like digital signatures, key exchange, and encryption methods, as well as a basic understanding of distributed systems and consensus algorithms
• Familiarity or interest in Go or Rust programming languages, and hands-on exposure to any existing blockchain system internals is beneficial

Bonus Qualifications

• Contribution to open-source blockchain projects
• Research experience in blockchain and/or cryptography-related fields
• Proficiency in Cosmos SDK or Ethereum core development
• Knowledge of Golang or Rust programming languages
